Furthering my study on the phenomenon in which humans can occupy and experience varying scales of spaces through their own perception, here I explore the door. Doors represents the unknown. Possibilities, fears, opportunities, growth, change. They are thresholds to the way in which we interact with society. We understand the scale of buildings through doors. The scale and shape of a building implies what’s possible inside; we imagine different fictions. This series explores the anticipation and excitement of an open door through a variety of light and geometries which––by nature–will elicit different emotional responses.
